A gem attached to my land should reflect and perpetuate the magic, beauty, history, and the intriguing sense of belonging and complicity that, since childhood, has always involved me. The stones of my Ticino are beautiful. But, even more beautiful are those almost invisible stones that, with patience, knowledge and wisdom, some gold digger is so determined to collect, straw after straw in its sands. I also picked up the gold, and I wanted it to stay close to the stones with which it always shared the life of the river. To admire it in its immaculate beauty, I put a little bit of that magic yellow powder in a niche carved into a rock, and I protected it with a transparent window. Stone and gold from Ticino, Orba, Elvo, Sesia, Orco, for a while will not roll on the river bed, but will keep you company for part of the way. In jewelry, gold is the soul plastic, feminine, that binds the stone to the finger telling a story. The stone is the rigid core, masculine, that binds the story to time and light. In this pendant, there is a total reversal of symbols: the stone, usually rigid, here is worked plastically to enclose the gold, harvested while still a stone. This pendant can help awaken the feminine in a man, the masculine in a woman, the child in an adult, the dream and the magic in the rationality of the routine. Intimate involvement with the territory, nature, emotions, time, life, people. Magic? It does not matter.
